Community Action
At Open Concept Hospitality, diversity, belonging, and accessibility are an integral part of who we are. We are dedicated to affecting meaningful change within our organization and our communities. We strive to create a workplace that reflects the communities we serve and where everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work.
Open Concept Hospitality is committed to putting our action into words by reflecting our beliefs throughout our organization and holding ourselves accountable with clear, actionable commitments:
• Since our inception, community partnerships have been at the forefront of our work. Open Concept Hospitality strives for better living through better food, and we believe it’s our responsibility to help make this possible for everyone. Over the past two years, we have worked with a number of organizations to act on our vision, including Youth Forward Toronto, Out of the Cold, Living Rock Youth Resources, and the NPAAMB Oyà:na Program.
• Open Concept Hospitality is committed to fostering a culture of support, opportunity, and equity in the workplace and in the communities in which we operate. We have evaluated our organiational policies and existings relationships to ensure that we are aligning outselves with like-minded businesses who are dedicated to inclusivity.
• We pledge to provide a safe and supportive space for all Open Concept Hospitality employees, including a zero-tolerance policy for any acts of prejudice or discrimination.
We know that this is just the beginning of the work we must undertake to continue this conversation and ensure demonstrable change within our workplace and across the communities we serve.
Our team knows that we do not have all the answers and are constantly working to better educate ourselves. We greatly appreciate any and all suggestions to be more effective at achieving our goals.
